To Valhalla

My goal
in sight,
the blood
starts to boil
in my veins
as I charge

I
heed
the call
of the
Valkyries
as I unsheath
my weapon

my blade
meets little
resistance,
as I plunge

the length

into my
quivering
velvet victim

again and again,

tearing the flesh
with each thrust

the body is ravaged

until the remains

are barely

recognizable

I hardly
take the time

to fully admire
the carnage
before I must
journey on

because

somewhere

in the distance

Valhalla
is calling
my name
