Epiphany

I have this sudden epiphany,
On why I lost him in our journey.
It's neither our fault, but still I'm here,
Explaining my side for him to hear.

I expected so much from you,
Because I believed your words were true.
So when you left and gave up, I crash
All your promises were forgotten in a flash.

I thought we would have a happy ending,
Now I realized we're just pretending.
Pretending that we still have something real,
When in reality we lost the love we feel.

I know it's too late for me to say sorry now.
For still holding on, because I don't know how.
To let go someone, who is not yours anymore.
I just wish you happiness and so much more.
