2000 letters in a lifetime

Mechanically separate the silent soul
the shell goes to the highest bidder
brighten my breakfast
with a
noose
tied in a knot
with numbers counting down to a destination
for a number of nails in my fingertips
pulling out with tweezers

super soaker
filled with whiskey

solitary confinment
is
a
creature crawling
a cold reminder of the huge dark stone castles
with secret passages
corridors
in everyone
decent human beings
dragged here
with a destruction for the
faint at heart
bust the blood vessels in my eyes
mixing white with red
stirring
swirling
sift through my insanity
sand through your tired fingers
fearing and feeling every grain
burning
hot enough to turn into stained glass
filling the
warm sill's
to mega churches
home to the best sinners money has to buy

hemmorage in the ditch amoung dry fallen leaves
under a birch tree
can i trouble your for a smoke
how about the calling card of a captian
upon waves
weathering
that never plans on returning to port
docks will remain empty

the pain killers wore off
but i pretend not to notice
like the songs from high school
that defined us as people
individuals
we wore on our sleeves
we still carry today

i'll lift you up
like a 747 plane at departure
giving you butterfly's if you'd let me
peering in those bright blue baby doll eyes
it's your choice to kill them
or
find sanctuary in a flower garden

i'd greatly appreciate a greeting with you
at least one of those
instances
a waiting room
where you catch someone looking at you
longingly
while your sitting down
with time to
kill
coax me
metronome
you are the beats per minute in me
i'll meet you outside with markings like mine

i had hoped you would smile back at me too
