Our Hearts Never Lied

Though our hearts never lied
wrote our story
that never cried
sang our lives
out a loud

Could have used flowers
and wine
would have
taught
to the crowd
we should have walked
down an isle
or danced
for a while

Though our hearts never lied
wrote our story
and that never cried
Although our hearts never lied

Torn between yesterdays
with the lives that
never stayed
The I do's that
fell to their knees
just to pray
for the future less gray

The lonely nights
lingered in days
the lost time
that we crave
and the work
without pay

Though our hearts never lied
wrote our story
and that never cried
Although our hearts never lied
sang our lives
out a loud
Our hearts never lied
but time
took the story and cried
Though our hearts never lied
our hearts never died

-x-
