Restlessness plagues my
capillaries
Shuddering with the
westerly breeze
Every current
mix of molecules
disrupting the beat
of the tides
and my muscle
of a pulse under meat

Your fingers dig deep
into ancient teeth

Lay me down
in fat-bellied rounded rain
and grow tendrils into my
thirsty veins
Sweep me up
to a heap
in canopied kin
Pull me under
over
through your
silvery skin

Cough up your roots and
breathe me in

Vanilla
is the flavour
that knocks us numb
Asynchronous to the
circadian drum
Our arteries ache
for adrenaline
Restlessness gnaws
through twitching skin
Souls atrophied by
digital sin

Sink back down into soil
and bury me in
