I wrote this poem to bring awareness to this crime of date rape. It's terrible epidemic and more talk needs to be made on this subject.

He pondered in his mind of guilt
How could he commit such a crime
He saw her amongst the others, face of an angel and well built
She glanced his way, a quick smile and head tilt
He beckoned her to come to him
Slowly she glided across the floor
He greeted her, she sat down
He ordered to the barmaid, two more
He moved toward her as she came around
He touched her face, she received
She placed her hand on his groin
He leaned in to kiss her
A long passionate kiss
They finished their drinks together
She whispered in his ear my place
He paid the check, out that went
To him money well spent
An angel for the night, not alone
She motioned him in her place
He entered, one thing on his mind
How lovely he thought, such grace
They kissed briefly, he made his move
She said no, he did not here
They tusseled onto the bed
She tried to push him away
He said no way, you wanted to play
He pushed on through the night
He then thinks back as he puts on his pants
She was awake, was she in a trance?
She cried when he finished, she said rape
He could not believe his ears
He looked himself in the mirror
Scratch marks on his face
What had he done, where was his error
She continued to cry, he leaned in
Cried out in fear, jerked away
Was he a monster, he thought
He then thought, will I get caught
He committed a crime, he'd have to walk the line
Walked from her place, to the police
He told them what he had done and turned himself in
