Autumn Mornings
The cold morning breeze of my late days
when the dawn takes its time
brushing my cheeks gently
i stand there watching you dance
still joyful in the summery days
as tiny drops of water sting my finger tips
of melted ice covering the grassy field
as the blood red leaves fall down
from the crowns of hopeful trees
i feel like the yellow rays of light
fighting through the fog
just to touch you with my warm love
but you are already happy as you are
in the joyful summery days
so even though i am lonely here
the autumn melts all around
all the love i have for you
is radiating all out of my skin
so maybe one day when you come to stand next to me
you need not to worry about the coming winter
because i will always be frozen here
in this autumn morning
loving the sight of your joy
when the dawn takes its time
brushing my cheeks gently
i stand there watching you dance
still joyful in the summery days
as tiny drops of water sting my finger tips
of melted ice covering the grassy field
as the blood red leaves fall down
from the crowns of hopeful trees
i feel like the yellow rays of light
fighting through the fog
just to touch you with my warm love
but you are already happy as you are
in the joyful summery days
so even though i am lonely here
the autumn melts all around
all the love i have for you
is radiating all out of my skin
so maybe one day when you come to stand next to me
you need not to worry about the coming winter
because i will always be frozen here
in this autumn morning
loving the sight of your joy
