Day And Night [[Part 2, Day]]
When the night ends,
so does my pain,
Or so they think.
They can't see tears in the rain.
Daytime sets in and I am all alone.
Just like the night,
but now I am surrounded.
Appearing like I'm happy.
How can no one see through?
I hide well,
but you can still sort-of see.
I am slipping now,
the mask is harder to keep.
As time goes by it chips away,
and when it's gone I have a bad day.
Full of pain, full of sorrow.
Despearation and need are the only ones.
The two emotions that do not show.
they see pain and ask "What's wrong?"
The mask goes right back on.
and with a smile,
I say "Nothing, nothing at all."
and no one seems to press the issue.
Is it so easy to believe,
that someone like me,
someone in this much pain,
is alright and okay?
Few of the many care enough to try
and see what I am hiding,
beneath all of the lies.
But they are all leaving now,
and the night is setting in,
as the sun sets, the cycle begins again.
so does my pain,
Or so they think.
They can't see tears in the rain.
Daytime sets in and I am all alone.
Just like the night,

Appearing like I'm happy.
