Eyes of a Child
Eyes of a Child
Eyes of a child, precious and whole
Living their lives with no role
Battered, bruised and tears
Poor child, only wants to disappear
No foundation, to call their own
No hugs and kisses, only alone
Stripped of esteem and pride
Nothing for them, time to bide
Trapped in a world of grime and filth
No toys or joys, their spirits wilt
Happiness one dream away
What kind of hell do they have to pay?
Rescue these children, god I pray
Award them with wondrous glories
Just a child, nowhere to play
You'll get new parents, tell them more stories
Place every child in a safe place
Bicycle rides and kisses on the cheek
One by one, help every case
Remember what God said inherit will be the meek
