Straylight

The sun came up
the dread sunk in
the loneliness spreads within
the dull ache of longing settles over me as the yearning rips through me
I can still feel you, still taste you
I'm slipping in
I'm lost, I'm lost
I'm dreaming
fluttering lashes and stolen glances but no words said
were dreaming
tattoos clashing, skin on skin
where do I end, where do you begin
I'm not breathing
burning lungs, fighting tongues
your warm weight presses me into the mattress
gentle finger tips tracing lines on rigid spines
We're spinning out of control,we're dizzy dreaming
Just breathe, just breathe
soft and delicate
i would kill for this
i would
i would scream for this
i would
sprawled across the bed we hope for the best
tell me something new
whispers so pure and true
and we are keeping it
keeping it
naked and vulnerable
tell me something new
tell me something blue
these are the moments the world revolves around me and you
lace misplaced and pillowcase imprints
giggles and gasps
why couldn't this last

https://youtu.be/Ck0a-Hid6lQ - poem was inspired by the song existentialism on prom night by straylight run. This link is for the instrumental piano version of the song.

side note: unfinished and unispired. Just like everything else I post. I just wanted to post it before I completely forgot about this and never finished it. I'll modify it soon.
