Things to Know About Me

I am proud of my name Elena Waller because
It comes from a long line of amazingly strong
And independent women. It makes me proud
Of my heritage on both sides of my family.

As much as my life, as well as my smiles are filled
With happiness and laughter there dark days
Filled with clouds too. For once, I am okay
With that because it makes me feel human.

I love sports and more importantly I love baseball.

Writing poetry makes me feel safe and feel
Like I have a safe place to call home.

I can drown myself in chocolate because
It solves all of my problems, worries and stress.

Just like poetry, music and books are healing.
They save me and bring me into my world
Of peace and belonging. All of these are
