Listen
Do you have the time? The time? The ticking of springs and the jamming of gears turning by.
Eagerly I wait. I wait for you, passing the time with conversion. I try to rid my mind of you, but then it happens. Eagerly I anticipate.
Is it your voice I hear? Sitting up against the bathroom door, listening with a longing ear.
Laughter, a funny joke? The sound is like a bugle, making my heart race faster. Dry, goes my throat.
Close, our bodies tangle though we dare not speak. I mute out the sounds from the flickering television screen.
Quickly my heart beats. I wonder what it might be like for our lips to meet. I willfully allow for my curiosity to get the best of me.
Catching you off guard, my lips do bother. You remain still and then it's over. I come in for another.
I steal your breath and listen to your heart beat. I snatch you up like a harpy. I give you my heart for you to use selfishly.
I wait, and listen to your every command. I'll show you my obedience and pray to you that you'll understand.
Love, it's a wild horse I cannot tame. I am urged to speak it verbally as I am to scream your name.
My devils, if they were to speak. They'd sing in a choirs of all the ways you make me weak.
Your voice, smooth like butter. Quick to correct me when I'm wrong in the sound of thunder.
I'm overcome in a fit of shrieks. I let you know how well you are. I prove it when my body leaks.
On my knees, I say my best prayer. You acknowledge me with praise as you kindly part my hair.
Closing in the distance, I can tell how close you are. I can hear it in your voice that you aren't that far.
I follow my ears to give you pleasure. I map out inside of my head how I can make it better.
Scream, you deliver yourself unto me your final call. We enter a silence with panted breaths as I lie into your chest. I lay in your warmth as I watch lovingly, your chest rise and fall.
