Returning of the waves
You left me there by the rocks at sea.
once a tranquil and vibrant landscape.
Now bleak, barren and boatless.
The captains too have raised anchor and set sail as have you.
No more shall you peer into my once emerald green eyes.
For they have been washed away with the spray of the oceans powerful grasp.
The beaches are beaten down and to my dismay,
nothing remains as the water swallows any sign of man's existence.
A beach.
Once full of families, sand castles, fisherman, and many forms of life now lay empty at my feet.
As the water receded one last time so too did the spirt and vitality I once had.
Exhausted, broken hearted, and anxious to discover just one reason that I shouldn't follow the ocean to its depths.
My gaze met the water now up to my waist with crystal clarity.
I thought this whole time I was surrounded by the sea.
I've never been so wrong.
This nothingness around was just you and me.
once a tranquil and vibrant landscape.
Now bleak, barren and boatless.
The captains too have raised anchor and set sail as have you.
No more shall you peer into my once emerald green eyes.
For they have been washed away with the spray of the oceans powerful grasp.
The beaches are beaten down and to my dismay,
