A Bitter Grace

In a sea of bitterness she sails, hidden
behind a darkened veil.

We see her as nothing, look through
her and see the wall, but lifting her
copper colored eyes she is a percelain
doll.

Gracious be her name for she is as
silent as the wind but if you are
broken, her hand she will offer her
heart she will lend.

The storm begins, thunder rolls like
a thousand drums, she stares out the
glass, for she has turned dumb*.

Silent she lives hidden in within
herself, behind a mask, under a veil,
inside a shell.

A gracious bitterness, sweet like a
flower, cold like a knife. Alone in
the world of darkness she is our only
light.
