Grandson
A little ray of sunshine,
On a dreary day,
Eyes that stare at you,
Melts your heart away.
Skin so fare and soft,
Hands so small and white,
Smiles at his reflection,
Morning, noon and night.
He sits and drinks his bottle,
Never makes a mess,
Only after burping,
He's sick all down his vest.
Gurgles when he's happy,
Screams out when he's sad,
He always has a giggle,
For his old grandad.
Glad that I have met you,
Although it's been a while,
You've made me very happy,
I can't help but smile.
You are my only grandson,
I will be there for you,
Remember me in years to come,
And the love I've shown to you.
On a dreary day,

Melts your heart away.

He sits and drinks his bottle,
