Trembling in crackling tears
The shadow stood away
From all the light till late at night
As the dampened streets decay

Promiscuous a shadow seems
When bodies pass on by
Changing shape and hiding on
The coat tails as they fly

Fear not o shadow
Harm will not be
Thought of by innocence so naive
Be the comfort in the darkness
To ones that hide from what they see

When life has faultered for a girl
A shadow still remains
As A memory marker of that soul
And all the lives she changed
