Giraffes Make Good Pets
It’s skin looks like a patchwork quilt
The tallest animal ever built
Walking tall, head in the air
At the end of their tail a swish of hair
Radio antennas on their head
They sleep standing up, not in a bed
They mow the treetops with a crunch
They eat thorny berries with a munch
Really long lashes that they flutter
They have to bend low to drink the water
Their good at cards and good at chess
Always tidy, never cause a mess
They can drive cars with a sun roof
The pedal to the metal with their left hoof
They play piano and trombone
Spanish guitar and xylophone
They will sing you a song
Only if you sing along
They clown around, entertaining folks
Juggling balls and telling jokes
They dance like dads at a wedding
Can read maps to where they're heading
They love pogo-sticks
And Lego bricks
They love to play
They play all day
They’re always happy and never sad
They’re always good and never bad
If you get one, it’s fun you’ll get
That’s why giraffes: Make good pets
For the ‘Recall: Age of innocence Comp
