San Francisco Love Poem
"And I think you're so mean
I think we should try
I think I could need this in my life and
I think I'm scared
I think too much
I know it's wrong, it's a problem I'm dealing"
Matchbox Twenty~
-----------------------------------
So safe we lay
In coupled warm touches,
Like wild flowers blown
In the wind, each petal
Landing on a different street.
On Powell, we catch a
Cable and we venture
Towards the wharf
Coffee on Bay street
Reminds me of priceless youth
Bendy over to Grant street
Chinatown
Dim sum and a kiss
Take my hand
Mission district is throwing a party
This night is just beginning
Is that the ghost of Kerouac?
We sneak past the gates of City lights
Columbia is slanted towards enlighten
A few steps
Away from the San Remo
Making love enters our mind
Fire
Smoke is a raising
Twisting like a cat on a hot tin shack
Golden State Park
Hiding under blankets
Like teenagers
Wrapped around your legs
Lips quivering
Fingers scorching with touch
So safe we lay
I smell your hair
I am leaving this place
In love
My city is alive
My love is ravenous
