When Pete met Su
Walking my dog, the other day.
The oddest thing happened, I must say.
 She chased a rabbit round a tree,
  and when I followed, staring at me,
   was a MONSTER of nightmare fantasy.
Eight foot tall, it was I swear,
with pale blue skin, and nary a hair.
 Six inch fangs, and snake-like eyes.
  Can you imagine my surprise?
   When it said "Hello.  How do you do,
    my name is Su, who are you."
I stood there mute.  Forever it seemed.
Pondering, is this live or perhaps a dream.
 I pinched myself.  It hurt like hell.
  So knowing live, I said "Pray tell
   I know you said your name is Su,
    but what I wonder is, what are you.
You're not of earth, that's a fact.
Would you please tell me where I'm at?
 My name is Pete, by the way,
  a pleasure to meet you here today."
"Pete my friend, you haven't gone.
 You're right here where you belong.
  You've just found out, you're not alone.
   There's a billion worlds, a billion homes,
    all connected in space and time.
     Today, Yours just tied to mine.
Now just because I'm not cuddly cute,
does it really mean, I'm a threat to you?
 Open your heart, for one day soon
  you will be living on your moon,
   and with atmosphere and G-force low,
    it is there that you will come to know,
     we are out there and we will show,
      you foolish HUMANS, you're not alone."
