Restless
Hush now, child
Close your eyes.
Under your bed,
Your demons lie.
Take a breath,
And try to sleep.
Around your dreams,
These monsters creep.
Dark and twisted,
Are tormented souls.
Feel wicked hands
That begin to pull.
Night terrors begin,
And screaming starts.
Drenched cold sweats
And pounding heart,
Child, you're restless.
You must be tired.
Yet you don't sleep.
You feel hell fire,
Don't you, young one?
I know, I know.
This isn't much fun.
Hush now, child.
Let them play.
You may find sleep
During the day.
Close your eyes.
Under your bed,
Your demons lie.
Take a breath,
And try to sleep.
Around your dreams,
These monsters creep.
Dark and twisted,
Are tormented souls.
Feel wicked hands
That begin to pull.
Night terrors begin,
And screaming starts.
Drenched cold sweats
And pounding heart,
Child, you're restless.
You must be tired.
Yet you don't sleep.
You feel hell fire,
Don't you, young one?
I know, I know.
This isn't much fun.
Hush now, child.
Let them play.
You may find sleep
During the day.
