The yearly ending

The virus monster has won again
I know this would happen, just not when
Maybe it can be repaired
Into a blank screen I stared

Information possibly lost
Then hit by a new computer cost
Seems like this happens every year
Right around when the holidays are near

Probably from downloading stuff
A music selection that never seems to be enough
I had a anti virus program
Perhaps it is a sham

Either way I'm not surfing the web today
For only a while I can stay
I'm addicted to being online
To chat, search and whine

Also to post my work
The poetry that is written about everything, including captain Kirk
I like to search the weather and reports
About the news, headlines and basketball courts

My lack of computer knowledge is my downfall
A task that looms and stands so tall
Everything in time bites the dust
Or perhaps broken and sitting in rust
