A wave of emotions

A wave of emotions came back at me
At random, totally unexpected
Tears streaming down my face
Every tear drop must mean something
Is falling into place
A reminder that that
"Its ok to grieve, its ok to cry"
As we keep learning to try
We have made it this far into the course
But every time I enter the lecture theater
I just wish it was you there
Standing there
I miss everything about you
Your whole -hearted spirit
That touched
The many people you
Worked with,  met with, talked with
And we forever miss those moments
Every time a memory triggers
But when the tidal waves calm down
Are we home yet?
Are our emotions settle to rest or is it still hanging in the air?
In our hearts we know you'll always be there
Forever and always
