Poetic Love

  Pity the one who knows
  many tears must be shed
  before pain fully drains
  and sorrows can be bled.

  Better times forgotten
  but still make veiled attempt,
  to weep with happy tears,
  make love without regret.

  Can we find ourselves again
  within gaps of time we lost?
  Can we redeem these feelings,
  will our end become the cost?

    Can we now just remember
how once we seized those moments?
      When you and I together
    flowed freely just like poets.
