The Law

A most beautiful ethical theory.
That that which is right, is also holy.  
 
It upholds when upheld.  
Supports when supported.
Protects when protected.  
 
An aesthetically pleasing, ancient word.  
Has a rustic, pleasant sound.
Has been around for thousands of years,
But a translation for it, still hasn't been found.  
 
It is neither simple, nor complex.
But profoundly deep, and deeper it gets.
It is beyond binaries, a singular maxim.
Neither deathly peace, nor violence it begets.  
 
In the cosmic cost-benefit analysis of karma,
That which assigns utility, is dharma.
