If 'pointless' is hyphenated to 'point-less' and the word 'less' is at the start of the second line, you get the 5-7-5 syllable format of a Haiku. And maybe it adds and extra twist in the meaning - but only maybe. Just a thought. :) But I like the humour added via the 3rd line.
