CADAVER SONG
Bedeviled and wrapped in a burial shroud
Left for dead and planted six feet down
Wasting away existence, a cadaver song
Burdened by ungodly weight of a thousand stone
My shallow breath tastes like decaying earth
I feel insects creep from decrepit dirt
Madness writhes with turmoil inside my mind
I lash at the roots today for all time
Death comes crawling to my door
You know the devil belongs to me
Death come calling at my door
Heaven’s gate locks with the doomsday key
The widow climbs across the ensnaring wall
Her kiss is bitter sweet before the fall
Doom strikes the haunted clock with razor strings
And the vultures thrive on carrion black wings
Death comes crawling to my door
You know the devil belongs to me
Death come calling at my door
Heaven’s gate locks with the doomsday key
She bites with jagged teeth
And rips with jaded claws
Karma’s a bitch drenched in blood
When the sun fail’s to eclipse
The moon shines down
On cemetery grounds
The devil comes home
To sit upon his throne
Death comes crawling to my door
You know the devil belongs to me
Death come calling at my door
Heaven’s gate locks with the doomsday key
Death comes crawling to my door
You know the devil belongs to me
Death come calling at my door
Heaven’s gate locks with the doomsday key
