My Malfunction of my Mind

You follow me, I see it.
I feel it too.
Only in the dark though,
you make me feel crazy.
Demented even.
Others don't see what I do,
or feel you nonetheless.
You're possibly a figment of my
imagination....
Maybe not.
I see you there, in the shadowns.
Hiding.
I'm too afraid to follow you,
my fear of the dark...
But you knew that already;
didn't you?
We play cat and mouse, you and I.
Me, the soft spoken mouse,
the prey.
You, the always prowling cat,
the predator.
When you think about it,
you and I aren't that different.
You stay hidden in the shadows,
wanting to be seen.
I am forced into the light
when I want to hide.
Both things unattainable.
I know you toy with me.
Moving things around,
whispering quietly to me.
You're my bad, dellusional little secret.
You're the malfunction of my mind.
