WITHIN THE SCARLET CHAMBER

It's night inside the walls of her scarlet chamber
The heart of brimstone dies at the fall of embers

Staring through the spyglass at the scene of winter mourn
A wraith in the flesh in Victorian lace and torn

From the arms of God
Inquisitor squads
Come with tooth and claw
To condemn the flawed

Ghostly apparitions crawl in her dreams at night
Fading but never quite leaving in the morning light
She must sate the demon with excrement venom
Love it seemed to die when two hearts ripped asunder
Dashed against the rocks below in the epic thunder

Her virgin stitch ripped upon the throne
By men of god when Heaven's light shone
Onto this witch raped and discarded
Flower the seed that breeds forth hatred

A sleeping beauty
That bested the beast
Love of Lucifer
Christians to the feast

Nightmares come like revenants before Autumn storms
Lashing in wind swept leaves in my cemetery mourn

And her tragic fate
Always on display
I recall her name
Taken to my grave

The lamentation of the wretched condemned
I reek of damnation cologned in shades of revenge
The blood I have spattered and bones I have scattered
Against the slight of the one so glorious
Set to the cleansing flame damning and so treacherous

Her vestal robes ripped before his throne
For words of God spoken from a tome
Written by men put onto the cross
Spoke her last curse as if she were Faust

"Thus I do bewitch
No man can resist
Curse of Lucifer
In hearts I infest"

And thus I thrashed within my bonds
As the demon took hold of me
I thrust myself straight towards the flame
And charred my skin for all to see
And now, behold, the scarred imperfection
Is the last thing you will witness
