Mother I Am Missing You
Mother
Mother, I've held your hand until the end
I've had the chance to see you through
Now you will be able to ascend
Mother, I am missing you
I will not consume myself with sorrow
As you would want me to only smile
Knowing that you will have your tomorrow
Will make all my todays worthwhile
When I look up into the skies above
And I see a rainbow peeking through
I'll know it's you showering us with love
Mother, I am missing you
(This poem was written for my father in law. Grandmother (his momma) is able to move around now wherever she pleases on her own time, her own schedule.) Until the next rainbow, Grandmother. Until the next rainbow we see.
