Silence
Silence-
I used to hate it.
I used to feel the need to say anything just to fill the void.
Now, I welcome the quiet.
It brings calm, serenity.
It gives me valuable time to listen, to think, to breathe.
It comforts me.
I can be still and just be.
Makes me wonder how I can be so calm now
And be so happy!

I'd like to see some imagery and more poetic effects used, but at the moment the poem is a nice and even valuable sentiment.
