mice pray
seeking jobs
wearing little aprons
collecting a cheese ball
for a poverty family
erect tails
in a mouse jail
a factory
making cheese food
they say it is
good
smiling they avoid
the poison bait
and the mouse traps
wait
reading the Bible
in the walls
living like this
sure takes balls
little creatures
with Heavenly features
mice grunt and strain
stirring the pigeon soup
and pouring it
down the drain
working like oxen
sweat on the brow
and always going outside
to milk the cows
