Begin Again
Can we meet again?
Make me laugh like you did.
Notice me in a sea of hundreds.
Can we go back to the start?
When we were just two kids.
Playing games & having fun.
Can we go back?
To the fight and the tears.
Me walking into the street.
Can you take me to that place again?
Where I felt safe in your arms.
And someday everything would be okay.
Take me back.
To the moment we fell.
To the first kiss.
When you mended me after I broke.
Let’s go back.
To the start.
Laying on your bed.
Heart pounding.
Those three words first said.
It hurt.
It was hard.
But I would do it again.
For you.
For me.
Us.
Let’s meet at the beginning.
And fall in love all over again.
Cause I never want to make it to the end.
