Your body laying next to mine doesn't keep me calm anymore.
You breath slower every night and i don't sleep at all.

I wish the cancer would have chosen me.

You have brought back so many memories with your words.
So many nights I lay next to a friend dying from cancer. I remember watching and listening to every breath, hoping, praying the next breath would not be the last.

Such a sad feeling to lay next to someone once full of life and watch and feel them fade. Bittersweet but a lovely write!
