Suppressed Rage
10 seconds of rage- then spend 10 years locked in a cage
reduced to a file on a page- consequences of suppressed rage
misunderstood- like a crook- wonder why he picked up a gauge
read him like a book- must be illiterate, never saw his outrage
don’t know how it is to raise a family on minimum wage
circumstances- robbed him of his chances- his coming of age
explain it with lack of finances- or absence of balance- in life
it caused the malice and strife- so sadness inhabits his habitus
like written in the scripture, wealth doesn’t make you richer
yet everyone still stressin’ trying to paint that perfect picture
but just try to envision- that you were placed in his position
raised with an ambition, but statistics sentenced you to prison
so do the math- how is it really different from a feudal system
never know the true value of what you have- until it’s missin’
wishin’ that you finally realize life is a test, not a competition
so when he claims to be a brother, but jealous when you prosper
remember, it’s not the color, but how you define & live with honor
eventually- with time treasure turned to treachery
looking back, just want to burn that fucking memory
because you see, if I chose to trust- the blame is on me
therefore, beware of the foul friend, not the honest enemy
so son raise a middle finger and smile at your destiny
1,2, 3- guarantee- this will be the last you’ll hear from me
