The vastness of nothingness
Echoes within the silence
The abyss outshines the sun
Just like infernal winter
You’ve driven me
To the brink
I will cutaway
To the grave
Show me

Show me how you do it
The razors kiss the wrist
Jaded, slightly deranged
And show me how to die
Just like you
Bring me to the edge of black
Where colors merge with sorrow
Of the vortex I’ve become
At the edge of yesterday
You’ve driven me
To the brink
I will cutaway

Give me the wrist
The knife and the pill

With lips of cold steel

Lord Hades....the lines here morphed into fingers and reached through the screen to grab the center of my chest...yup...tiny hairs raised on arms and neck...speaking to the depth of me

Poetry is meant to reach out and grasp the reader elicit an emotional response. When it's a job well done I feel a sense of satisfaction.

I sense genuine and acute pain and darkness leading me through a peek into your world. A significant hold elicits my own darkness. Empathising and feeling raw. I appreciate you sharing.
