Mean & Moody (Poem Man) Part 2
Our second date was ace
Wimbledon was just a place
The drive home was not so great
But Mick got us home safe
We had Chinese and wine
And that was all fine
He shared my bed
What can I say
All I wanted was to play
Eventually we fell asleep
Not before we had a reprieve
In the morning we played again
Which was divine; he was mine!
I thought everything was ok
Until that decent downstairs
Then the air changed
I could feel the coldness
My heart sunk when you said those words
And I felt sick to the pit of my stomach
When I dropped you off that night
I knew it was the end but lived in hope
I still do but don't know why
As you can't make someone want you
It still hurts now
I have fond memories of our time
Is that such a crime?
I won't forget my Poem Man -
He touched my heart for a while.
