We dance alone
As music somewhere softly plays
Drawing lonely people out upon a crowded floor
To shuffle tightly in among the throng
Who choose to closely gather
In some dark and smoky room
Searching deep within another's eyes
For companionship.

We dance alone.
A lover's waltz while curtains sway
In time to breezes flowing through a window,
Caressing our bodies with a cooling breath
As we lie here coupled face to face
In this dark and quiet room
Finding deep within each other's eyes
Our reason for being.
