Manipulation

Watching as people take the bait
Herding together full of hate
Thinking they're right, not seeing the game
Strings being pulled as they all lay the blame
Illusions so rife in true manipulation
Everyone follows with no hesitation
Painful to watch when you see how it plays
Like everyone out there is stuck in a daze
Feeling the desire to escape to some place
Start a new life, leave the rats to the race
Have to stay strong and fight the good fight
Nose to the ground, continue the plight
It has to be clear, all out in plain sight
Out of the darkness, into the light
SHINE ON SHINE ON!

The road to truth has many bumps
Plenty of chaos and even some thumps
Few good things are achieved with ease
The wind is strong, certainly no breeze
But blow it must, the wind of change
All that is needed is now in range
BLOW ON!

An allegorical universe
The clues are all around
Interpretations everywhere
Waiting to be found
The shadows in Plato's cave
The truth we have to save
Experiences to teach
Never out of reach
A square within a circle
A box that stops the flow
A truth that starts to hurtle
When you can finally let go
Be careful what you ask for
Be careful how you think
It just may pave the future
Don't wash it down the sink!
