Lost Love

An old man sitting all alone, ragged clothes all he has on.
Faded picture in his hand, of a love, once so grand.

Now tears roll down his cheeks, his body so weary and weak.
Memories of a love so high, now day’s just pass on by.

The pain in his heart, of a love, now so dark.
Life’s not fair you see, why her lord, why not me.

Wishes to no avail, now a life, just like hell.
Sorrows can’t restrain, two lives once engrained.

Happy times flash on by, of a love once so high.
Sweet kisses on her cheeks, no words need to speak.

Her eye’s filled with joy, like a child with a brand-new toy.
Soft whispers in her ear, so very far, yet so near.

An old man sitting all alone, ragged clothes all he has on.

Trembling hands not so steady, please tell me lord, I’ll be ready.
Fears fade away, as he waits for that special day
.
When a love meets again, to never stop nor ever end.
A final smile upon his face, no regrets, no disgrace.

An old man sitting all alone, hugging a big grey stone.
