those more extravagant toys
ready employ despotic measures
to secure a future
entrenched in a past
that was never meant to last

build it anyway they say
by any and every means necessary
for a restless soul
will always forsake peace
in favor of control

insecure...immature
symptoms of a sinister dis-ease
still-born at inception
the {self proclaimed} exception
to every rule

the world is yours

and irony is king
the victor is once again the victim
entangled a low vibrational web
of its own design
a web it still has no sense of
after all this time
blind to its very existence
