the warmth

The idea of your throat
Tied so shakily around that rope
Hanging from the celing
The floor beneath you falling to peices into a listless void of fear and loneliness
And I cant say exactly what you were feeling but god damn my heart aches to think it was even close to what I've felt
Slender, soft hands that have yet to place their fingertips on the world for very long
Barely holding onto yourself
Holding on for dear life

And the image of that song, floating into your ears
The chorus guiding your hands off that rope, letting your neck follow
That song giving you something to hold on to, giving you a chance to keep going
Jesus fucking christ im thankful
You dont deserve to go
I may not know you that well but
I can say i know that you deserve to live and those lyrics will forever have embeded themselves into the cracks of my skin
And you told me to find other reasons to live because people are temporary
But i can't help but say that youre on that list now too
And even if youre fleeting you showed me this song
You showed me someone else cares
God damn it i didn't mean to feel so attached to you
Im sorry
Thank you

"Dont let the world bring you down/not everyone here is that fucked up and cold/remember why you came and while you're alive/experience the warmth before you grow cold"
