Dear Kite
Why dear kite
do you fly high
with string attached
to hold you back?
I fly so high
because I’m held
against the wind
that fills my sail.
Could your path
extend further more
without a tether
your tail to hold?
Crashing down
would be my fate
a deadly end
without a faith.
Are you happy
to be held so tight
no longer free
to wander far?
I followed paths
on the ground
now I fly
with blue to hold.
