Transparent Fruit
Chewing obscure thoughts
masticating the pulps of philosophy like orange juice
the smell always sinks into my skin
I am now part fruit part philosopher
not to be mistaken for a philosopher of fruit
It's all apples and oranges
planets and stars
ripping apart napkins of questions
and blowing them into space
Black holes of forgotten stories
and adventures
why do I always forget
I wish I could remember
it all
Conjure lost thoughts
summon them from their graves;
opaque problems become transparent
what if my skin was transparent
Stare at my bones and organs that make up my whole
masticating the pulps of philosophy like orange juice
the smell always sinks into my skin
I am now part fruit part philosopher
not to be mistaken for a philosopher of fruit
It's all apples and oranges
planets and stars
ripping apart napkins of questions
and blowing them into space
Black holes of forgotten stories
and adventures
why do I always forget
I wish I could remember
it all
Conjure lost thoughts
summon them from their graves;
opaque problems become transparent
what if my skin was transparent
Stare at my bones and organs that make up my whole
