Girls like Me
Girls like me we keep-a-going
cause we don't know how to slow down
so when we feel the welcome wanin'
we just get the hell out of town
I don't need to find me a king
cause I already stole a crown
don't mistake me for a good girl
but you still can't keep me down
So don't you worry, I ain't in a hurry
unless you mean a hurry to leave
once you think you got my number
you'll find a whole other side to me
I don't think I chose this life
and I don't think that it chose me
some of us were just born to be
a pretty lost tumbleweed
Girls like us just hop on a bus
leavin' a couple pretty faces in line
a little heartache, a little heartbreak
but we just leave it all behind
I heard he said I was a-missin'
and he put my face on a sign
but you can throw that milk bottle out
cause I'm not for anyone to find
So don't you worry, I ain't in a hurry
unless you mean a hurry to leave
once you think you got my number
you'll find a whole other side to me
I don't think I chose this life
and I don't think that it chose me
some of us were just born to be
a pretty lost tumbleweed
Girls like me you'll never see cry
think that we're just laughin' all the time
cause we smile bigger when we're dyin'
look so fuckin' honest when we're lyin '
with our fingers crossed behind our backs
talkin 'bout a ride we just to have to catch
So don't you worry, I ain't in a hurry
unless you mean a hurry to leave
once you think you got my number
you'll find a whole other side to me
I don't think I chose this life
and I don't think that it chose me
