Choking

Choking on solitude
savored sweetness of isolation
suck the juice out of my loneliness on a Sunday afternoon before the sun sets
Empty detachments of phrases and thoughts
Leave your shoes at the door
put the napkin on your lap when you're out to dinner
dunes of segregated suggestions
I'm too bitter to follow
what would you think of me if I didn't?
