Box
My box is small
Wrapped in shiny silver paper
With a black ribbon bow on top
It is a pretty little box
In this box is where I live
This is where you have put me
But you forgot to put other things inside my box
You forgot to give me light
You forgot to give me space
You forgot to give me air
In this box is just me and death
Just like the firefly
I may have once shined and been pretty
I may once have flown free
You have put me in this box
My light has gone out
You cannot blame me for my light going out
You forgot to poke holes in my box
So all you have left of me is my shiny silver box.
