Laurie

Laurie look up, and see that seagull now,
No seat in this world,No weight to hold it down.
Won't you be like that for me baby,
Like the air we breathe when you're around.

Lift your wings up over your eyes,
I’ll look inside you, run and hide.
You smile at me like a clown,
My heart is just too heavy for you darling,
Is that why you've shot me down.

If you look up at me now, laurie
You’ll turn my life around.
I said, if you took up new wings laurie, no
you might just kill me somehow.

Your soul is so cold now laurie,
Snowflakes falling from your mouth.
You left me here in a hurry,
Fly off now, into the drought.

Love is off the edge tonight,
Heart's pounding like rain,
If a Teardrop falls on future smiles,
Won't you hold onto that pain,

Thought i saw you cry once,
Your guilt was sprained,
Stretch out your lust,
Your heart can't be trained.
Fly off without me baby,
Fly off into the rain.
