The Adventures of Hoppity Hop (The Christmas Rabbit)
the house is decorated with colorful lights
outside the window pretty white flakes fall
wrapped boxes underneath a flamboyant tree
everyone seems so jolly
uh, sickening
yes, this must be that time of year
when people praise a fat man
for breaking into their homes
frightening their small children
but oh, I’m on to his trickery!
It is all just one big scam
to get free milk and cookies
but little does he know
this year, he’s in for a harry surprise
while everyone sleeps uneasy
from fear of this portly creep
I stay up waiting by the chimney
until!!
a creak from the back door?
suddenly there he is with his bag of cheep toys
I let him lay down the presents
hopping around like I’m just a playful rabbit
but as he makes his way to the cookies
that’s when I make my move
with a swift hop in front of his feet
he trips and falls down to the ground
his phony beard comes off as well
ha!, gotcha buddy!!
what?, wait a minute…
uncle Bob?
I had no idea I was related to a celebrity!!
the family makes their way down stairs from all the ruckus
bobby puts on his beard before anyone notices
the kids seem rather excited to see Santa Claus
so I look up at uncle bob, giving him a wink
don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me

I only ever wrote poems about my rabbit, but none of my other pets. Maybe because he has that up to no good look in his eyes ^^
