- - - OF DESECRATED FLESH - - -
Her winter storm blows in on winds of scorn
As a blight upon this heart that once fluttered
But now sits like a stone, cold to her spite
A black damask draped on souls of another
The herald sings of a time
When blood dripped from veins like vines
Merlot as rich as death itself
Spiral into madness and Hell
Bathe me upon your crimson shores
She washed away her virtues with sin
The fog creeps in from haunted moors
Prick my skin, so where do I begin?
A murder of crows
And curses of serpents
Speaking in tongues
As vultures hung
Around for a taste
Of desecrated flesh
Spider webs and fairie tales voice her name
I long to kiss those lips and lick the venom
When godless one burned with righteous flame
And turn me on the spit for her vile demons
The feral feast for all time
As tears fall uncompromised
The sad flocks of mournful sparrows
Lead me to the waiting gallows
Bitter wolves howl before my door
To partake in the meat of the convent
And revel in piles of putrid gore
Sorcery that becomes my descent
A murder of crows
And curses of serpents
Speaking in tongues
As vultures hung
Around for a taste
Of desecrated flesh
Take my heart and hold it tight
And dash it upon her stones below
Where’s myself upon this night
Cast it out of my darkest shadow
Take my heart and hold it tight
And dash it upon her stones below
Where’s myself upon this night
Cast it out of my darkest shadow
A murder of crows
And curses of serpents
Speaking in tongues
As vultures hung
Around for a taste
Of desecrated flesh
Take my heart and hold it tight
And dash it upon her stones below
Where’s myself upon this night
Cast it out of my darkest shadow
Take my heart and hold it tight
And dash it upon her stones below
Where’s myself upon this night
Cast it out of my darkest shadow
As vultures hung
Around for a taste
Of desecrated flesh
