words I never thought would be said to me

You are my miracle of the moment
but maybe you feel me slipping away?

constant whiplash

I'm reaching out to my higher power to give me an answer
but higher things answer slowly and in poetic ways
so I gotta keep listening

As much as I wanna rescue you, maybe you are not mine to save...

I'm listening, one ear to God, I'm trying to discern my way

I love you, but maybe you're not mine to love,
I want you and miss you constantly, but maybe without the distance that would fade....

Do you feel me slipping away?
Do you see us together always?
I want you forever sometimes but there are grander forces, bigger than me,
also at play .......
